Occupation Therapist Specialist

Qualifications:
For this Occupational Therapist, Sole Charge role at Island Health, we are looking for a professional with a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy, and current practicing registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC). The ideal candidate will also be eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement therapy plans that cater to the unique needs of clients
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify client goals and develop strategies to achieve them
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities, and scope of practice
Requirements:
- Graduation from a recognized university program in Occupational Therapy
- Current practicing full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC)
- Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT)
- Two (2) years' recent, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
