Electoral District Development Manager Job Summary

The New Democratic Party is seeking an experienced Electoral District Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Electoral District Associations in their development efforts, including fundraising, public relations, and event planning.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support Electoral District Associations in fundraising efforts.
  • Develop and implement public relations strategies for Electoral District Associations.
  • Plan and execute special events for Electoral District Associations.
  • Field questions and requests from New Democrat members and supporters as appropriate.
  • Coordinate the work of EDAs.

Requirements

  • Campaign or election experience is required, specifically experience related to field or organization or campaign management.
  • Ability to work with a team, be reliable, trustworthy, and organized.
  • Access to broad networks, especially labour and social movements.
  • The ability to motivate and work well with volunteers.
  • Be self-motivated and well organized.
  • Ability to work in a co-operative environment and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the policies, practices, and structures of the New Democratic Party.
  • Excellent political judgment.
  • Ability to work irregular hours and possible travel.
