Senior Accountant - Not-for-Profit Sector

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to support our client, a not-for-profit organization, during a period of transition. This is a short-term contract role with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Issuing transfer deposits
  • Loan statements (interest calculations)
  • Preparing financial statements
  • Reconciling general ledger accounts and reviewing account history
  • Fund accounting
  • Journal entries
Requirements:

To be considered for this opportunity, you must be a designated Senior Accountant (CPA or equivalent) with at least 5 years of full cycle accounting experience. You should be comfortable working in a structured environment with multiple stakeholders and changing priorities.

Desirable skills and experience include:

  • Experience with the NFP sector
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Superior communication skills
  • A keen eye for process improvement
  • Experience with QuickBooks would be beneficial, and strong EXCEL skills are a must
