At Drop The Ink Edmonton, we are seeking a skilled Tattoo Artist & Design Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position that requires at least 2 years of experience in the field.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating custom designs for clients, advising on beauty products suited to their colouring and skin type, and designing traditional tattoos. They will also repair and mask aesthetic defects, maintain and build their own clientele, schedule and confirm appointments, and work a permanent term.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement custom tattoo designs that meet client requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on beauty products tailored to individual needs.
  • Create traditional tattoos that showcase artistic skill and creativity.
  • Repair and conceal imperfections in tattoos.
  • Maintain a loyal client base through exceptional service and artistry.
  • Manage scheduling and appointment confirmations efficiently.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and at least 2 years of experience in the industry. You should be able to work 30-44 hours per week and possess excellent communication skills.

Work Environment

This position is based in a professional tattoo studio where you will work closely with other artists and staff members. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be willing to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a generous salary, you will also receive benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
