Job Opportunity

Northland School Division is seeking an Elementary Generalist Teacher at Anzac Community School for the school year.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for following the prescribed program of studies for each subject taught, planning and executing daily lessons based on short, medium, and long-range planning, and providing feedback to students and parents in a regular and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a range of subjects to elementary students
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Support the school's commitment to Cree language and culture revitalization
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive school culture
Requirements
  • Alberta teaching certification and a Teaching Quality Standard certificate
  • Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree
  • Successful years of teaching experience in rural and/or Indigenous communities
