Track Maintenance Specialist

Canadian Pacific Railway (CP) and Kansas City Southern (KCS) have merged to form CPKC, the only truly North American railway. As a Track Maintainer, you will be part of a team responsible for building and maintaining the railway infrastructure, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods across our 20,000-mile network.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform moderate to heavy physical labor in building and maintaining railway tracks, including replacing and repairing rails, railway ties, fences, and adjusting track alignment and surface.
- Respond to emergencies and track outages, working in a team environment to resolve issues promptly.
- Work in all weather conditions, including rain, direct sunlight, and snow, and be willing to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Be away from home for extended periods, with meal allowances provided.
- Be prepared for seasonal work and potential layoffs, with recall rights based on seniority.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Possess a High School diploma or GED.
- Have a valid driver's license, with a Class 3 license considered an asset.
- Have a safety-oriented work ethic, with experience in the labor industry.
- Be able to follow instructions and rules, and have good written and verbal communication skills.
