Financial Advisor Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Advisor to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a Financial Advisor, you will be responsible for attracting, nurturing, and growing relationships with our high-value personal and small business clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition and Retention
- Develop and implement effective strategies to acquire and retain clients, including identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with existing clients.
- Financial Planning and Advice
- Provide expert financial planning and advice to clients, including creating personalized financial plans and recommending investment and credit solutions.
- Relationship Building and Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including understanding their financial goals and objectives, and providing ongoing support and guidance.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with other RBC professionals, including financial planners, investment advisors, and credit specialists, to provide comprehensive financial solutions to clients.
- Staying Up-to-Date with Industry Developments
- Stay current with industry developments, including changes in financial regulations, market trends, and new products and services.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course)
- Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation, offered through the Canadian Securities Institute (i.e. Personal Financial Service Advice and Financial Planning I)
- 1-2 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, handling credit and investments
- Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships
- Digital literacy across a broad range of devices (i.e., smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.)
- Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency in second language Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish or Italian
- Active in developing a solid network in the local community
