Job Summary
CEDA is seeking highly skilled Class 1 Operators to join our Pressure and Vac division at our Bonnyville AB location. As a Class 1 Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining combo, semi-vac, super B, tri-quad, pressure truck equipment, and various specialty tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including combo, semi-vac, super B, tri-quad, and pressure truck equipment.
- Perform minor maintenance and checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all team members and property.
- Provide high-quality services to clients.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team and follow direction from supervision.
- Learn new skills daily by rigging in and out specialty equipment.
- Leave the job site in better condition than when you arrived, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and completion of tasks.
- Haul hoses, PPE, and tools to the work site.
- Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Class 1 licence.
- Manual transmission experience (10, 13, or 18 speed) with a high level of proficiency.
- 1+ years of experience in an industrial environment on pressure and vacuum equipment (preferred).
- CSO and H2S Alive certifications required at time of offer.
- This role may require working at heights and within confined spaces.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Safety-focused mindset when it comes to people and equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis).
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
