Emergency Department Nurse

Job Summary
Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a critical care professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, triage, and nursing assessment in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer care to adult and paediatric patients from all triage priorities
- Competent in a diverse range of skills from stabilization and care of the critically ill to first aid
- Transport critical patients, including burn victims, neurological emergencies, and trauma victims, to other facilities
Requirements
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Minimum of 2 years current Emergency nursing experience
- ECG monitoring including arrhythmia interpretation
- Post-diploma Emergency courses and/or ACLS certification preferred
- Computer skills an asset
- IV therapy skills required
- Excellent teaching and public relations skills
- Good team player
- Self-directed
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record
