This leadership role requires exceptional fundraising skills, strong interpersonal relationships, and the ability to motivate and lead a team of professionals in achieving ambitious goals. If you have a passion for animal welfare and a proven track record of securing significant donations, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to secure major gifts and principal-level support for the college's initiatives.
  • Leverage established relationships and networks to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and prospects.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of 40-60 major and principal-level donors, ensuring continuous growth and engagement.
  • Collaborate with senior administrators, faculty members, and other stakeholders to prioritize university initiatives and develop compelling cases for support.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in university or public sector fundraising, with a proven track record of securing principal and major gifts.
  • Advanced knowledge of the veterinary community and related issues, as well as the ability to engage senior leaders at a strategic level.
  • Superior interpersonal communication skills, including effective relationship building and diplomacy.
  • Leadership and motivation skills, with a proven ability to lead groups towards completion of long-term goals in dynamic environments.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including alumni, corporations, and friends of the university.
