Role Overview

As a key member of our Credit Insurance Underwriting group, you will play a critical role in assessing the creditworthiness of foreign companies and providing expert advice on risk management and mitigation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating the creditworthiness of foreign companies using advanced analytical tools and techniques
  • Developing and implementing effective risk management strategies to minimize losses
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide expert advice on international trade and finance
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of client interactions and risk assessments

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Establishing relationships with internal and external customers
  • Understanding customer needs, determining optimal insurance coverage structure, terms and conditions
  • Providing ongoing customer service, acting as subject matter expert for our clients
  • Assessing the creditworthiness of foreign companies, understanding the likelihood of a company honoring its obligations

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in insurance underwriting or related financial services experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Bilingualism in English and French (written and verbal)
