Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in mental health and/or substance abuse services. A minimum of a Grade 12 education and a Community Mental Health Certificate or Addiction Worker Certificate are required. Additionally, completion of a recognized Peer Support Training course or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is necessary.

A valid BC Class 5 Driver's License is also required. Experience working with adults and youth with mental health or substance use issues is an asset.

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience in delivering education programs.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical ability to perform duties of the position.
  • Proficiency in using electronic file systems for service delivery.
  • Advanced computer skills are an asset.
