Job Summary

As a Deli Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized deli area, assisting with stocking and sales of goods, and providing support to front-end associates with price checks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zoning the department to ensure a well-organized and visually appealing environment
  • Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain high-quality merchandise
  • Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet company standards
  • Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
  • Taking orders for deli department merchandise, slicing and preparing merchandise, and providing requested assistance
  • Providing assistance to front-end associates with price checks
  • Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils
  • Keeping the area neat, clean, and organized, free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids
