We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative individual to support our team and clients in the field of Public Relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in learning the ropes of PR and be eager to pitch in and help with various tasks to ensure our clients and teams succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support PR and social media communication deliverables to meet client objectives, including pitching magazines, bloggers, online publications, newspapers, television, and radio.
  • Draft and edit media materials, such as editorial pieces, media advisories, press releases, fact sheets, and briefing books, requiring strong writing skills.
  • Build relationships with media contacts and manage media lists.
  • Conduct written and verbal outreach with media contacts.
  • Assist with influencer campaign management, including researching influencers, providing rationale, metrics, and potential outputs, as well as developing relationships with them.
  • Apply strategic thinking capabilities to support the development of innovative campaigns, demonstrating creative thinking.
  • Monitor social media and provide research support.
  • Provide timely feedback to management on progress against goals.
  • Support event logistics as needed.
  • Work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry and brand best practices for PR and social media.

Support and Administration:

  • Support the PR and social team with media drops, running errands, sending couriers, and other tasks.
  • Assist with maintaining the tidiness of North Strategic's common areas and ensuring they are client-ready at all times.
  • Manage mail and courier packages for delivery and pickup, including signing for couriers and maintaining logs for tracking purposes.
  • Perform various administrative duties to assist the North Strategic team and partners, as required.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess some of the following attributes:

  • Post-graduate diploma, degree, or certificate in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills, dynamic, team player, excellent time management and organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc., is a strong asset.
