Job Title: Cultural Health Navigator, Arabic Language Specialist

Job Summary:

The Cultural Health Navigator, Arabic Language Specialist is a critical role in supporting the health and well-being of government-assisted refugees in our community. As a bilingual and bicultural professional, you will provide trauma-informed and culturally competent care to clients, facilitating their access to healthcare services and promoting health literacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients to identify their health needs and develop personalized care plans
  • Provide health education and navigation services to clients, including information on health programs and resources
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations to ensure seamless transitions of care
  • Conduct outreach work in Richmond and across Metro Vancouver, as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders to promote health and well-being

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Health Sciences or related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in settlement case management
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Arabic
  • Demonstrated understanding of social determinants of health and their impact on racialized refugee populations
  • Knowledge of government-assisted refugee experience and settlement challenges
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
