We are seeking a highly skilled and physically capable General Labourer to join our Warehouse Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of products, materials, and equipment within our distribution center.
Your primary duties will include:
- Shunting trailers in the distribution center yard.
- Inventory management and record keeping tasks, including tracking truck maintenance.
- Arranging and scheduling 3rd party deliveries for customer orders.
- Participating in Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) duties.
- Authorizing site maintenance services and permits for contractors.
- Preparing orders for loading onto delivery trucks, utilizing voice picking software as needed.
- Ensuring accurate and quality product orders are secure for transport.
- Operating industrial powered equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Meeting daily productivity requirements.
- Manually moving product and materials as required.
- Staging completed pallets in designated shipping areas.
As a General Labourer, you will be responsible for:
- Shunting trailers safely and efficiently.
- Managing inventory and maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinating 3rd party deliveries and scheduling.
- Participating in JHSC duties to ensure a safe working environment.
- Authorizing site maintenance services and permits.
- Preparing orders for loading and ensuring quality control.
- Operating industrial equipment and meeting productivity standards.
- Manually moving product and materials as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience shunting trailers and a Class 1 driver's license (an asset).
- Strong record keeping and administrative skills.
- Experience on JHSC (an asset).
- A High School Diploma (preferred).
- Prior warehouse, production, or equipment service experience.
- Ability to operate manual or powered pallet jacks or lift product.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Forklift certification (a plus).
