Job Title: Letter Carrier
About the Role
As a Letter Carrier with Canada Post, you will be the face of our company in your community, delivering mail and packages to customers and businesses. This is a temporary, on-call position that requires you to be available to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings and evenings.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort and prepare mail and packages for delivery
- Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle
- Deliver mail and packages to customers on your route
- Return to the depot to unload incoming mail and packages
Requirements
- Valid Class 5 or Class G driver's licence with a safe driving record
- Physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb)
- Ability to work in all types of weather
- Availability to be on-call
- Ability to read, write and speak English and/or French
