Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Delivery Driver to join our team at Terris & Company General Contractors Ltd. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up messages, parcels, and other items by hand, operating and driving automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, and accepting payment or invoices for items delivered.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and Pick Up Items: Safely transport and handle messages, parcels, and other items by hand, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Operate and Drive Vehicles: Drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Accept Payments: Collect payment or invoices for items delivered, maintaining accurate records and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Transport Dangerous Goods: Safely transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring efficient and safe handling.
  • Sort Packages: Sort packages for delivery, prioritizing timely and accurate delivery.
  • Perform Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
  • Physical Demands: Be physically fit to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Environment: Work in a variety of locations, including on the road, and adapt to changing weather conditions.
