About the Role

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our Projects team in Burnaby, BC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting Project Managers with administrative tasks, organizing shop drawings, tracking data, and ensuring timely project completion.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with job binders, paper flow system setup, permits, manuals, tender forms, and other administrative duties.
  • Organize and track shop drawings, distributing as needed.
  • Data entry and updating systems with information from Project Managers.
  • Update project drawings, purchase orders, and job schedules with change orders.
  • Price, extend, confirm hours submitted, and perform data entry for extra work orders.
  • Ensure the site has the latest specs, drawings, shop drawings, change orders, and schedules.
  • Track shipments for orders, track backorders, and maintain communication with suppliers for material delivery.
  • Attend site meetings and walks to record and produce minutes.
  • Print and circulate various reports associated with the project.

Your Experience and Skills

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in project coordination, administration, or office-related roles within the construction or related field.
  • High proficiency in MS Office, with experience in AutoCAD, Accubid, and MS Project being an asset.
  • Experience managing document control, file management, scheduling, data entry, and minute-taking.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal and English communication skills.
  • The ability to read electrical and/or construction drawings, and an electrical engineering degree or relevant education, are assets.
