The Occupational Therapist, under the direction of the Branch or Clinical Manager, is responsible for the completion of professional activities that include: assessment, treatment, education, and management of clients requiring Occupational Therapy intervention.
Clinical Responsibilities- Client Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of clients, establish and ongoing evaluate/revise treatment programs, including goals and discharge plans.
- Clinical Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records according to standards set by the College of Occupational Therapists.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team as needed, communicate pertinent information and recommendations to clients/care providers, and provide education regarding treatment strategies as needed.
- Supervision and Guidance: Observe the performance of those assisting in the Occupational Therapy program and provide guidance as necessary.
- Professional Development: Maintain active standing in the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario, participate in ongoing internal and/or external education activities.
- Compliance and Quality: Adhere to Bayshore Healthcare/Bayshore Therapy & Rehab Policies and Procedures, participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System.
- Health and Safety: Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties, responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of client and corporate information.
- Additional Tasks: Complete other tasks as requested.
- Education: Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
- Registration and Licensure: Registered and in good standing with provincial College of Occupational Therapists, must also have a Driver's License and use of vehicle.
