Executive Director Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our training centre in advancing the objectives of our union. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, programs, and strategic activities to position our training centre as a thought leader in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an annual operational management and programming plan that supports the strategic directions for the training centre.
  • Work closely with the President, Chief of Staff, and relevant union stakeholders to create an integrated multi-year strategy for the training centre.
  • Develop and implement policies, programs, and strategic activities to advance the objectives of our union.
  • Represent the training centre in the community at public functions, conferences, and committees.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of senior management experience at a union training centre, labour union, or similar organization that includes human resources experience.
  • Strong strategic planning skills, ability to discern priorities, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Emotional intelligence and professional self-management under pressure.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and lead in such a way to advance equity and inclusion of everyone in the union.
