Job Overview

The TEP GROUP is seeking a Groundwork Specialist to join our team. This role will involve utilizing engineering principles to understand the effects of solid and rock mechanics on the physical environment.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience working as a Geotechnical Engineer, with a Professional Engineer certification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client projects, including correspondence, problem resolution, and final reports to meet deadlines
  • Monitor geotechnical site characterization activities, setting up subcontracts with drillers and testing laboratories
  • Perform geotechnical site characterization activities, logging of geotechnical field explorations, and coordination of field and laboratory testing
  • Prepare geotechnical data and complex recommendation reports
  • Perform geotechnical analyses and assist with drawing, specification, and cost-estimate preparation
  • Supervise and mentor lower-level technical staff and field crews

Benefits

Physical Demands

The successful candidate will be required to spend approximately 25% of their time working outdoors, exposed to various weather conditions. The remaining 75% of the time will be spent in a climate-controlled office environment.
