About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Counsellor to join our team at LifeWorks as a Post-Traumatic Intervention Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing support and interventions to individuals who have experienced traumatic events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide preliminary assessments of traumatic situations and offer coaching and support to managers and employees.
- Implement post-traumatic interventions by interacting with internal and external clients and affiliated professionals.
- Provide supervision and consultation to stakeholders when requested.
- Manage the administrative needs of trauma support services.
- Occasionally travel to provide debriefing, defusing, or support interventions following a massive layoff or restructuring.
Requirements:
- Masters/PhD in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or Psychoeducation.
- Member in good standing of your professional order in Quebec, corresponding to your university degree.
- Fluent in French is a prerequisite.
- Minimum of three years of clinical experience.
- Training in stress management in crisis situations (CISM) and/or certification in EMDR.
- Crisis management skills and ability to provide solutions to clients.
- Excellent ability with group interventions and oral communication.
- Good knowledge of different work environments and organizational environments.
- Understanding of organizational structures and human resources.
- Ability to be creative and flexible in unforeseen and unusual situations.
