Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Analysis Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for performing structural analyzes and preparing test plans to support the design, development, manufacturing, and certification of our aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analyzes using industry-standard calculation methods and finite element analysis methods.
  • Support the design team with structural analysis and validation, ensuring that designs meet certification requirements.
  • Apply design factors such as function, materials, performance, interchangeability, and weight in relation to stress resistance requirements.
  • Prepare certification reports and stress memos.

Requirements

  • Experience in structural design is preferred.
  • Good understanding of classical analysis methods.
  • Knowledge of design methods and analysis of composite materials is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods of the aeronautical industry.
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis methods and the NASTRAN/PATRAN environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of fatigue analysis and damage tolerance is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CATIA V6 or CATIA V5 and Enovia LCA is preferred.
  • Good communication skills in French and English.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
  • Any other combination of schooling and experience deemed equivalent may be considered.
