About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Operations Supervisor to join our team at Gurnek Transport. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments, preparing and submitting reports, and resolving work problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordination and Planning: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Problem-Solving and Technical Advice: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Training and Development: Train workers in duties and policies, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Work Scheduling and Procedures: Establish work schedules and procedures, ensuring they are efficient and effective.
  • Operational Logistics: Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of the organization, ensuring that all aspects of transportation operations are running smoothly.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, organized, reliable, and attention to detail.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, 35 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English.
