Job Description

The Territory Assistant is a part-time role that plays a vital role in the field merchandising team, reporting directly to the Territory Manager. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Territory Manager in implementing rooftop level execution of all product programs within an assigned group of accounts and Retail Merchandisers.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities. As a Field Merchandising Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  1. Trainer: Train new and existing employees on merchandising processes and procedures to ensure seamless execution of tasks.
  2. Scheduler: Coordinate with Retail Merchandisers to ensure they maintain the expected number of visits and work within allocated hours, avoiding budget overruns.
  3. Coverage Provider: Offer service coverage in instances where vacancies exist, or when vacation/sick day coverage is required or needed in-store.
  4. Project Assistant: Participate in and assist with department revisions, remerchandising, relocations, and new store installations in assigned territory as required.
  5. Problem Solver: Demonstrate flexibility in reacting to issues that arise on a job site in real-time to ensure existing priorities are met.

In addition to these responsibilities, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to maintain ongoing dialogue with the Territory Manager and territory colleagues to stay informed about upcoming programs and in-store activities.

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Prior experience in a retail environment is beneficial
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Must be able to travel when required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of Smartphone technology and ability to manage email effectively
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $40,000 - $55,000 based on the location in Brossard, QC, Canada. Please note that this estimate may vary depending on individual qualifications and experience.
