Job Summary

ARC Resources Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Market Fundamentals Analyst to join its Financial Risk Management team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining models that track global and regional energy supply/demand factors, monitoring and evaluating changes to balances, and forecasting commodity prices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain models to track global and regional energy supply/demand factors.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and forecast changes to balances on an ongoing basis.
  • Review research from external sources to supplement internally derived views.
  • Form a market view that identifies risks and opportunities to ARC's commodity price exposures.
  • Communicate outlook to varying internal audiences.
  • Use market view to make recommendations for ARC's hedging program.
  • Assist in the execution of ARC's hedging program.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of market summary reports.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related role with direct experience within energy commodity markets.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Economics is preferred, completion or progress towards a CFA designation is an asset.
  • A genuine interest in and strong understanding of the fundamental dynamics that drive commodity prices.
  • Superior finance and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex research and data into clear and concise presentations.
  • Self-motivated and capable of conducting research on information that can be difficult to find.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities.
