About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Labourer - Civil Construction Specialist to join our team at Forbes Bros. Group of Companies. As a Labourer - Civil Construction Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our construction crews with assigned site tasks and jobs to ensure project deadlines are met in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Safety: Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety protocols and policies, and participate in daily Tailboard meetings to identify hazards and ensure crew compliance.
  • Labour Support: Provide labour support in various functions as required by project, including groundwork, loading and unloading materials, and operating and maintaining tools and equipment.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Complete pre-trips and preventative maintenance as required, in addition to all required daily paperwork.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist with and execute day-to-day activities as required to meet project and client deadlines, and work collaboratively with crew members to achieve common goals.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience in the Construction Industry, with a strong understanding of construction processes and procedures.
  • Qualifications: Valid Class 5 Drivers License, and ability to present an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstract upon employment.
  • Skills: Ability to recognize site hazards and implement hierarchy of controls to eliminate hazards, and perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting.
