About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at PREET HOME FRAMING INC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare building layouts in accordance with local building codes, utilizing measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Conduct site surveys and level checks to ensure building integrity.
  • Train and supervise apprentices, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Estimate costs and materials, maintaining a keen eye for efficiency.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade.
  • Strong work ethic, with a focus on accuracy and reliability.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Permanent work arrangement, with 30 to 40 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
