About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at Maharaja Catering Ltd. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook a variety of ethnic dishes, including East Indian cuisine, for our clients.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that they are equipped to prepare and cook food to the required standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we are always stocked and ready to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area to ensure that we are always ready to serve our clients.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Work Setting: This role will be based in a restaurant or catering firm setting.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and the ability to maintain a high level of physical fitness.
