Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Recreation Therapist to join our team at Aspen Heights Retirement Residence. This is a full-time position responsible for developing and leading recreational programs that cater to the diverse needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement recreational programs for residents with varying abilities and interests;
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of activities into resident care plans;
  • Maintain accurate records of program participation and resident feedback;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance program offerings;
  • Evaluate and revise programs as needed to ensure optimal resident engagement and satisfaction;
Requirements
  • Diploma or certification in recreational therapy or related field;
  • Experience working in a retirement residence setting with Independent and Assisted Living/Memory Care residents;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team;
  • First Aid Certification and Class 4 Driver's License an asset;
