We are seeking a skilled Registered Occupational Therapist to join our team in Hope, providing primary care services to clients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and treat clients with acute, rehabilitative, chronic or palliative health care needs in community-based settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to formulate treatment goals and develop care plans.
- Prescribe and recommend specialized aids and equipment to support independent living skills.
- Coordinate rehabilitative services with clients and other healthcare providers.
- Act as a client advocate by providing information and liaising with funding agencies and community resources.
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities.
- Maintain patient records and report statistics to ensure legal and data requirements are met.
- Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
- Two years' recent, related clinical experience in a community or home health setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
