Network Systems Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Network Analyst to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless communication and data exchange.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement network architecture to support business growth and expansion
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices and equipment
- Monitor and analyze network performance to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement network security protocols to protect against cyber threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure aligns with business objectives
Requirements:
- 2-year Diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- ~8 years' related work experience
- ~ Competency in managing medium to large projects
- ~ Immediate knowledge of data center technologies, virtualization, storage, backup, networking, security, and all related supporting infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technology subject matter expert with applications such as SAP, Customer Information Systems (CIS), Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Mobile Workforce Management (MWFM), Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI), or Content Management Systems (CMS)
