Job Title: Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at peopleCare Communities Inc. as a Nursing Care Assistant.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide personal care, including toileting, feeding, and transferring.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including walking, standing, and lifting.
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by the nurse.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
  • Participate in recreational activities and outings with residents.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including laundry and housekeeping duties.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure residents receive quality care.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a recognized Personal Support Worker program or equivalent experience.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • Nursing Aide Certificate.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Immunization records and a Vulnerable Sector Check.
