Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Lead Developer F/H to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an individual with expertise in software development, technical leadership, and project management. The successful candidate will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive business outcomes through technology innovation.

About the Role

This senior-level position involves providing technical guidance, leadership, and expertise to develop and implement high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements and user needs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a passion for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership
    • Leverage expertise in software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum, to drive project delivery and ensure high-quality results.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop technical solutions that meet requirements.
  • Software Development
    • Design, develop, test, and deploy complex software systems, including web applications, mobile apps, and data analytics platforms.
    • Develop and maintain high-quality code, adhering to coding standards, best practices, and industry benchmarks.
    • Participate in code reviews, ensuring that code meets quality standards and is aligned with business requirements.
  • Project Management
    • Lead and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, resources, and timelines to meet business objectives.
    • Manage project scope, risk, and budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Tech Innovation
    • Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and industry developments, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team.
    • Contribute to research and development initiatives, exploring new technologies and solutions to address business challenges.
    • Pilot and deploy innovative solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to measure success and optimize results.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software development, technical leadership, and project management.
  • Expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, and C#.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, as well as version control systems like Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.

What We Offer

The Government of Canada - Central offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
