The British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Manager, BC SPCA Animal Care Centres. This is a temporary, full-time position that requires a strong leader to oversee the effective delivery of all applicable BC SPCA programs and services within the designated communities/region.
Key Responsibilities- Program Delivery: Ensure seamless implementation and successful execution of all BC SPCA programs and services in the area, in conjunction with provincial departments.
- Leadership and Management: Recruit, hire, onboard, and manage direct reports, including annual goal setting, performance management, and termination.
- Community Engagement: Act as the community ambassador/representative of all BC SPCA programs, policies, and procedures, and use effective change management techniques to ensure high rates of success in implementation and compliance.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze area performance in relation to defined metrics and provide feedback, guidance, training, and remedial action to positively impact results.
- Community Needs: Identify and respond to community needs, ensuring excellent relations and promotion of the BC SPCA's mission and services in the community.
- Communication and Coordination: Ensure effective communication, coordination, and accountability of the Animal Centre in Large Scale Animal Intake (LSAI) files.
- Representation: Act as the face of the BC SPCA in the area at community events and in the media.
- Education: University degree in Business, Management, or other related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years' related experience, including 3 years' experience in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Skills: Successful budget management, change management, relationship management, and customer service.
- Computer Skills: Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
