As a Water Truck Driver with Mainline Construction, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our water trucks. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain gravel/clay road surfaces at optimum moisture content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Water Truck and other equipment in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies for maintaining road surfaces, including water application and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to identify and address potential hazards and areas for improvement.
  • Fulfill all requirements for vehicle maintenance, including fluid checks and mechanical fitness assessments.
  • Monitor and report on vehicle performance, fluid levels, and mechanical fitness.

Working Environments/Conditions:

  • Work will be performed in an outdoor setting, exposing you to various weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and inclement weather.
  • Participate in daily Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA) to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Actively engage in worksite inspections as delegated by supervisors.
  • Comply with the company's substance testing requirements.
  • Be physically capable of repetitively lifting and carrying 40 lbs. on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Class 3 Driver's License with air brakes ticket and clean Driver's Abstract.
