Overview



At AppleOne, we are seeking a skilled Pump Repair Technician to join our team in Boisbriand, Quebec. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on various pump repair tasks while enjoying flexible hours and a competitive salary.



Compensation



The successful candidate can expect a salary ranging from $25 to $32 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, this position includes a premium of $300 per month for being on-call, as well as access to benefits, RRSP plan, wellness program, group insurance, vision coverage, and five additional stat holidays than usual.



Job Description



As a Pump Repair Technician at AppleOne, you will be responsible for:




  • Assessing the work required on equipment designated for repairs
  • Identifying necessary parts and estimating repair times
  • Preparing pump repair evaluations and submitting them to the Service Supervisor
  • Filling out work orders, including all required parts replacements
  • Describing executed work in designated sections of the work order and reviewing/completing when done
  • Conducting tests on equipment and recording results in relevant work orders
  • Managing inventory and parts control
  • Responding to emergency calls, traveling to customer locations to resolve issues at any time
  • Selecting needed parts and equipment for emergency calls and service contracts
  • Picking up and dropping off company van at location, without taking it home


Requirements



To succeed in this role, you should have:




  • 3-5 years of experience in pump repair, ideally with rotating equipment expertise
  • A valid G-license
  • Ability to work with finicky products, oils (checking/maintaining levels), and occasional external customer services repair
  • Strong mechanical aptitudes, experience with disassembly/assembly of mechanical equipment with fine internal tolerances
  • A sense of urgency and willingness to work under pressure
