We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Train Conductor to join our team at CP. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trains and goods across our network.
Key Responsibilities- Operate trains in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless train movements and minimize delays.
- Monitor and respond to changing conditions on the rail network, taking proactive measures to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of employees and the public.
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve operational issues and improve overall efficiency.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of company policies, procedures, and regulations, including the General Code of Operating Rules (GCOR).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
- Minimum 18 years of age; valid driver's license and Canadian passport required.
- Ability to work irregular schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home for extended periods.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
