Director, Operations Research

About This Role

CAE Flight Services offers cutting-edge digital solutions to empower aviation professionals with data-driven insights. Our comprehensive portfolio includes airport resource management, crew planning, flight planning, inflight provisioning, tactical schedule planning, and disruption management.

The Director, Operations Research will lead an international team specializing in optimization services. In this role, the successful incumbent will provide support throughout the product lifecycle, from sales demonstrations to after-sales service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to understand airline operations and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide third-level support and training courses to customers.
  • Lead technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship.
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Operations Research, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems, or similar field.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in building solutions based on mathematical programming models.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematical programming models, statistical and/or machine learning models, and programming languages such as C++ and Python.
  • Strong experience in enterprise software development and maintenance.
  • Experience designing and developing client applications, integrations, and APIs.
  • Strong communication skills (English and French) with both internal team members and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in people management and the ability to lead and influence others.
