We are seeking a skilled Drywall Craftsperson to join our team at HR DRYWALL & TAPING LTD.

About the Job

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate can expect to work 32-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in drywall installation and be proficient in applying successive coats of compound, sanding seams and joints, and installing metal corner beads. They will also be able to fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.

Responsibilities
  • Apply compound to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth finish
  • Sand seams and joints to achieve a seamless look
  • Install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids
  • Place panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
  • Fill holes and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife
  • Finish corners and angles, creating decorative designs as required
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
