About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and reliable Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Sukhman Drywall Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities
    • Oversee the work of maintenance staff and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to minimize disruptions to our operations.
  • Train and Develop Staff
    • Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
    • Identify areas for improvement and develop training programs to enhance staff performance.
  • Manage Resources and Budget
    • Estimate costs and materials required for maintenance activities.
    • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Ensure Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with health and safety regulations.
    • Identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
  • Support Diversity and Inclusion
    • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
    • Develop and implement strategies to promote diversity and inclusion within the organization.
  • Support Youth and Veterans
    • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth and veterans.
    • Develop and implement strategies to support the employment and retention of youth and veterans.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a maintenance or facilities management role.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Organized and reliable.
    • Team player.
Working Conditions
  • Permanent full-time position.
  • 40 hours per week.
  • English is the primary language of communication.
