The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with expertise in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) to join our ATLAS project. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-native solutions on the GKE platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud-native architectures leveraging GKE
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications on GKE
  • Optimize GKE cluster performance and resource utilization
  • Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve GKE-related issues
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest GKE features and best practices
  • Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards
Requirements
  • Strong proficiency in Kubernetes and containerization technologies
  • Hands-on experience with GKE
  • Expertise in cloud computing concepts (IaC, networking, storage)
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java)
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in Google Cloud or Kubernetes
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of specific GKE features like Autopilot, GKE Multi-Cluster Management
  • Experience with Istio or other service mesh technologies
