BEST CHOICE TRUCKING LTD is seeking a skilled Trucking Operations Specialist to join our team. As a Trucking Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills to oversee the condition of vehicles, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.

Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Goods: Load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring safe and secure transportation.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect and maintain vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, including checking tire pressure, oil levels, and brakes.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination with colleagues.
  • Record Keeping: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate records for reporting purposes.
  • Safety Protocols: Ensure tarping and safety measures are in place to prevent damage to cargo and minimize environmental impact.
Requirements
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A): Possess a valid Class 1 or A driver's license, demonstrating expertise in operating heavy vehicles.
  • Education and Certifications: No degree, certificate, or diploma required; on-the-job training provided.
