Job Title: Pipefitter

Vancity Excavating ltd. is seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Pipefitter to install, maintain, and repair piping systems in various locations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in wet/damp environments and be able to lift heavy loads.

Responsibilities:
  • Install piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors, and control equipment
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size
  • Select type and size of pipe required
  • Test system for leaks using air or liquid pressure equipment
  • Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
  • Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in pipe fitting and installation
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to work in wet/damp environments
  • Ability to lift heavy loads
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
Working Conditions:

The Pipefitter will work in various locations, including industrial and residential settings. The work environment will be wet/damp, and the candidate must be able to work in these conditions.
