Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Asset Protection Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As an Asset Protection Associate, you will play a critical role in maintaining a secure and effective work environment for all customers, associates, visitors, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conducting daily patrols of the facility to ensure store security and validate that doors and showcases are secure and functioning properly.
  • Making external arrests when necessary.
  • Investigating instances of financial and physical shrink and communicating findings to Store Leadership and in cases of an internal case matter, communicating to the Market Loss Prevention Manager first.
  • Supporting store evacuation procedures in case of fire or other emergency.
  • Participating in store task team responsibilities as required.
  • Conducting and supporting investigations as assigned, including instances of internal theft and/or dishonesty, matters relating to external organized retail crime, and cases assigned through Walmart Canada Global Ethics.
  • Communicating information from different sources and effectively clarifying issues for others, often presenting different perspectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Security Guard License.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, having a Walmart Canada Security and Compliance background would be an asset.
