About the Role

Ontario Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to lead our kitchen team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless food preparation and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate special events and catering services.
  • Determine food portion sizes and costs to maintain profitability.
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements to meet customer demands.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain high standards.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, adhering to quality and presentation expectations.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with dietary restrictions and allergies.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling techniques.
  • Order supplies and equipment to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to achieve exceptional service standards.
  • Maintain inventory records of food, supplies, and equipment to optimize resource allocation.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to meet health and safety regulations.
  • Organize buffets and banquets to create memorable dining experiences.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar position.
  • Possess strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with food safety and handling procedures.
  • Basic math skills to manage inventory and expenses.
