About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Science Project Associate to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. This role will involve assisting with design and condition assessment of buildings, providing technical expertise to building science projects, and conducting field investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting field investigations to monitor progress and ensure conformity to building codes and standards.
  • Preparing reports, analysis, and design plans for additions, modifications, and renovations to residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
  • Liaising with clients, design team consultants, and contractors to ensure project work is compliant with design documents.
  • Prioritizing and delivering multiple projects from beginning to end with supervision.
  • Using initiative and judgment to resolve problems and interpret engineering specifications.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or certificate in applied science, architecture, or engineering from an accredited university (required).
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience in building science/building envelope restoration in a consulting environment (required).
  • Prior experience with building condition assessment, reserve fund studies, and performance audits (required).
  • Working knowledge of Ontario building codes and standards (required).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, including technical writing.
