Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Personal Banker to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our branch, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and building strong relationships with our clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide personalized banking solutions to customers, including everyday banking, retail investments, and lending solutions.
  2. Identify customer needs and provide advice and guidance on financial products and services.
  3. Work collaboratively with branch colleagues to achieve business objectives and deliver a high-quality customer experience.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the wider financial services marketplace and maintain knowledge of personal banking products and trends.
  5. Escalate complex customer situations to managers as required and complete complex tasks within given rules and limits.

Qualifications:

  • Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Registration to sell investment products, as appropriate for the jurisdiction.
  • Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
  • Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions.
  • Ability to work in a consultative customer service or sales role and deliver a personal customer experience.
