Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA of Southwestern Ontario. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our childcare centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Lead activities that encourage creativity, socialization, and learning through storytelling, songs, and crafts.
  • Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or supervisors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for children and families.
Requirements:
  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
